How can you tell when you’ve overstayed your welcome on Facebook?  Mostly you can tell by how your friends stop responding to any of your appeals.  Comments cease to be made on any of your posts.  You get 15x more “Likes” if your status is “I had a tremendously tasty sandwich today” than for an impassioned plea to stop the ivory trade.  So…Where does one go when others have tuned out?  Who cares?  Here, in the warm, bloggy embrace of WordPress.com, I can yammer on about how messed up the world has become.  I can vent, rant, and whine for you to sign petitions to stopfrackingsavetheelephantstellHarperhe’sdoingsomethingwrong.  I will, of course, still do this on Facebook, but here the posts can be longer.  So let’s take this day to plan, to think, to be kind.  🙂  Have a happy day!

EDIT September 20, 2018 – Great news – I’m no longer on Facebook and I don’t whine quite so much about Stephen Harper now that he’s no longer PM. 🙂
